Fitness and health is becoming much more of a priority in the every day life of people worldwide.

We are constantly being reminded by the medical profession of the importance to our well being of a proper diet and regular exercise.

We are informed of the benefits of the healthy life style and how it can help us to live a longer and more active life.

The most difficult part of any fitness program is getting started. How many excuses do we make for not getting going?
It is the easiest thing in the world to just sit around doing nothing and it takes some degree of motivation to get started exercising.

You may think that joining a gym will give you the motivation you need to get started and follow through with regular workouts.
The reality is that most of the people who join gyms never complete their membership.
Gyms actually base their costing on the fact that the majority of people will never use their membership regularly.

There are many reasons why people don’t exercise regularly – they can range from inconvenience to boredom.

Where do your strengths and weaknesses lie?
Are you are the type of person who can motivate yourself, even when you can think of many other activities that you would prefer to do other than exercising. If so then a home gym might be the best solution as it will offer the convenience of allowing you to train whenever you like and you won’t need others to keep you at it.

If, on the other hand, you find it difficult to get off your backside then a membership at a gym might be a better solution.
Paying for the membership might be all that is needed to ensure that you will attend classes and often we can get motivated by those around us and challenge ourselves to improve and compete with others in the gym.

Alternatively, you might be a person who prefers to go cycling, running, or a walking rather than lift weights.

No matter what you are capable of doing, you know that there is only one action that you need to take, however small that might be initially. You know that it is important to get started with some form of fitness training sooner rather than later.

Fitness will add to your overall well-being, and the more exercise you do the better and more confident you will become. and the more likely you will be to continue with a fitness program.

There will never be a better time to get started than right now!

  1. While it may be true to say that you can lose weight with out dieting. This could be just a case of semantics. What ever you call it you have to change the way you eat in order to lose extra weight.

  2. I too have found that the grocery stores prices are getting more and more expensive. We have started going to the smaller Vegetable and Fruit stores (Henry’s Market for one) as well as the Farmer’s Market. A lot of cities have these once a week, usually during lunch. The fruits and vegetables from these stores are usually straight from the grower and are a lot cheaper. The savings is passed on to the consumer. Good luck, hope this helps.
